 HAGIA SOPHIA SURVEY

 

I did a  survey about Hagia Sophia.

 I was curious to find out whether there, would be enough public interest to promote organized efforts to maintain Hagia Sophia as a museum . Out of 98 people who received the survey only three people responded.

 In essence this mini survey suggests ,in general people don’t care about what happens to Hagia Sophia and whether it is a mosque or a museum.

                       Does  Hagia Sophia  Matter ?

 

Should we be concerned about the recent conversion of Hagia Sophia to a mosque in Istanbul in July 2020?

 The answer I suppose may prompt other questions ; Should we respect diversity, be sensitive to differences and promote tolerance and equal opportunities of all people?

 Should we respect the beliefs of all humans and suggest nothing which might imply that one individual is superior to another on the grounds of age, gender, race, ethnicity, culture, religion, sexual orientation, disability or health condition?

 Should we promote public expressions free from bias, stereotypes, slang, reference to dominant culture and/or cultural assumptions? 

 History suggests,  selective forced conversion of minority populations to Islam, selective forced castration of African slaves to work as servants at the palace harem, were common operational practices in the Ottoman era that lasted six centuries until the establishment of modern Turkey in 1923.

 In essence if respect and tolerance of all human lives, believes and cultures matter, conversion of Hagia Sophia to a mosque is not good for humanity.

PIA 8303 CRASH

                      What Did  Prime Minister Khan

                Know  About the Crash of PIA 8303?

   

The Pakistan International Airlines flight PK 8303 - traveling from Lahore to Karachi -that crashed 1.5 miles from Karachi’s Jinnah International airport on May 22 2020  killing 98 people ,. was caused by human error by the pilot and air traffic control, an initial report revealed on June 24,2020. 

The preliminary investigation report also revealed that the plane crash did not happen because of any technical glitch.

The plane was some 15 miles from the airport when  ATC (air traffic control)  warned   pilot  Gul-a seasoned pilot with 15000 hours of fligh- that the plane  had been flying on  an altitude of 10.000 feet  instead of the recommended 7000 feet . “ I am comfortable” captain Gul responded. A second warning came from ATC when the aircraft was 10 miles from the airport.”, Descend to 3000 feet from 7000 feet”.  I’m satisfied and able to handle the situation “, captain Gul responded.

The  Airbus touched the runway at 327 kilometers per hour and faster than  the recommended maximum landing speed-with the landing gear in the retracted position, the left engine scraping the ground first , bouncing up in the air for 300 m,  then three seconds later the right engine scraping the ground before Captain Gul. managed to lift off the damaged Airbus with enough power to reach an altitude of 2000 feet.

    Soon came the final frantic words from captain Gul.”We lost both engines ,May day, Mayday. before  Flight 8303  crashed into a residential area. Miraculously there were 2 survivors

 Why Did Pilot Gul Act Irrationally?

Even after the initial report , there are more questions than answers with the most serious being why and how the pilots ignored the warnings of an impending emergency .

Did pilot Gul suffer from a sudden brain dysfunction, silent heart attack , stroke or TIA ( transient ischemic attack)or low blood sugar?

Why did Gul and the copilot ignore several warnings from air traffic control and attempted  to land without landing gears? And why did they dismiss the flashing lights and alarm bells warning them of an imminent crash?

 It is well known that even minor abnormalities in brain blood flow ,oxygen and glucose supply may  impair mental function . Was pilot Gul fasting? The accident happened on the last day of Ramadan. What are the International and Pakistani Airline regulations about fasting ?

How can we explain the silence of the copilot?

   Surprisingly it appears that there are no international safety guidelines for fasting on active duty . This means the decision to fly  an airplane while fasting is a personal matter.

   There is also a surprising  twitter message from  Pakistan’s prime minister Imran Khan .

It read:Shocked & saddened by the PIA crash. Am in touch with PIA CEO Arshad Malik, who has left for Karachi & with the rescue & relief teams on ground as this is the priority right now. Immediate inquiry will be instituted. Prayers & condolences go to families of the deceased.

Surprisingly, the Prime Minister’s message circulated via Twitter at 2:10 PM Friday afternoon, some 25 minutes before the plane crash.

 What did the prime minister know about  the actual crash before it occured?

Taken individually several observations about the PIA 8303 crash seem inexplicable yet taken together they may suggest an engineered accident. The initial investigative report finding that the pilots were distracted and overly preoccupied with the Corona virus crises cannot explain why the pilots attempted to land without landing gears or failed to respond to automated warnings from the cockpit. The ominous premature tweet by the Prime Minister seems to be as worthy of further inquiry as the bizarre behavior of both pilots.

·      Transmission: air and person to person (1).

·      Essential features of transmission : it may travel 200m or longer distances by wind and other environmental influences and lives up to 14 hours (1).

·      Clinical presentation: some infected may never  develop symptoms yet may transmit it to others. Common symptoms include fever, cough, sore throat, chest tightness, loss of taste, fatigue, breathing difficulties and muscle aches.

·      Treatment: in vitro and clinical studies have shown  that hydroxychloroquine  is effective and safe (2,3). For several decades  hydroxychloroquine has been used by millions to prevent and treat malaria , is  inexpensive  with no or relatively minor side effects (2,3).

·      Prevention: hydroxychloroquine  is effective and safe (2,3). Also evidence suggests povidone iodine  solution applied to the nose and throat significantly decrease viral  loads in the upper airway and may prevent infection(4,5,6).

        Future Questions About the Pandemic

When your home is on fire, put the fire out before you ask any questions.

However, as this madness or menace or virus called coronavirus rages on I kept thinking “why”?

Sooner or later the virus will be dead and cooler heads will prevail to raise intelligent questions.

In due time I would like to ask ;

1.     Why did in 2015 the Italian state owned media company Rai – Radiotelevisione Italiana,  report that China was in the process of developing corona virus for military use? The video, which was broadcast in November, 2015, showed how Chinese scientists were doing biological experiments on a SARS connected virus believed to be Coronavirus, derived from bats and mice. (1) 

2.     How did  the New England Journal of Medicine publish a very complex molecular study about Corona virus on January 24, 2020? This article written by 18 Chinese authors, should  have -even on fast track -taken at least a month and possibly longer to be published (2).

3.     How did a German a biotech firm Bioscientia Healthcare, manage to develop a diagnostic test for coronavirus before January 15, 2020?(3).

Taken individually, each occurrence maybe attributed to intelligent anticipation yet is it possible that they were all related to advanced knowledge of an upcoming catastrophic event?
