Don't be afraid to dance with me dd salerian poem image

Don't Be Afraid To Dance With Me

A dreamer
I dream and dream
Dreaming of
A warm fireside chat
A chat with my executioners
Good men
Marching to a different drum
Heart brains  and hard labor
“Hey mam and sir can we talk
Can we really talk frankly
Why to hunt down doves
Shooting robins
Or torment healers?

Let us hold hands
Don't be shy hold my hand
Don't be afraid to dance with me
To build schools pools ships
Why not climb mountains
Catch big fish
Cook white sharks
Let  fish swim
Let robins and dolphins fly”
And in my dreams
Robins and dolphins fly
By a giant fireplace
Kindness and reason aglow
We are dancing
Dancing forever

Dancing and dancing

Like a ghost in an open field dr salerian poem image

Like A Ghost in An Open Field

Why did you run my friend
Vanishing
Like a ghost in an open field
 No word no sound
 Not a single sound
Eerie blackness of desert nights
Why did you ghost me my friend

Was I unfair
Did I demand
Did I speak bad
Did my tears offend
Did I vent much
Seagulls fly away my friend
Life is freedom
 A farewell is air
 Air is farewell

Disappearance
Could come from dread
Paralyzing
Soul shattering  or chilling
Lke an avalanche coming
No time for farewell
No time for closure
Buried under

Our days past

My bus will come soon. DR Salerian poem an image

My Bus Would Come Soon

I have been awaiting
That bus to come
A bus from nowhere
Hoping
A passenger
Will bring pigeons
Many pigeons
Gray black or white
Carrying good news

I have been having
Dreams of freedom
Dreams in which
I will be free
No invisible fences
Gray black or white
Around my neck
No sudden jolts
By restless men
Unnerved by freedom

A bus arrived
This morning
No man no pigeons
A woman
Glowing joy
With triplets dressed
Gray black and white
Smiled at me
As If to say
My bus
Would come soon

A bus arrived this morning
A men with pigeons
High drama  excitement
Jumping in the air
Shouting freedom
Dancing crazy
Waking up
A wonderful dream

A BABY DOLPHIN IN TEARS DR SALERIAN POEM IMAGE

A Baby Dolphin In Tears

Off Outer Banks
 A baby dolphin in tears
Upset with  sharks
Eating baby sister
Demanding action
Concrete measures
Like kidnapping
The bad sharks
Bringing them to justice

Papa dolphin attentive
Listening and splashing
Relentless is baby dolphin
“Do we have justice Papa
Are our waters wild west
Have we become humans?”

In one swift move
Lifting his son in the air
Inhaling fresh air and flying
Papa dolphin’s voice is clear
“Size matters
“How about democracy
 International treaties
Are they all fake Papa?”
“Nooo but size wins
My baby boy
They eat swim and die
We fly breathe and live

My good boy”

Pregnant nights Dr. Salerian poem and image

 Pregnant Nights

My bond
My cells
Or is it my blood
That makes me worship
The meltemi winds
 From Anatolian shores

Erect olive branches
Dirty brown valleys
Seagulls afloat
And immobile
By symphonic chatter
Chatter of crickets
And backgammon
Nights filled with
Cherry red wines
Ancient nights
Evening with no beginning
Endless summer nights

Do seagulls hear what I hear
Pregnant nights
Baba and backgammon
Crying aloud
Pawns getting smashed
Cherry red wines
Ancient nights
Evening with no beginning
Endless summer nights
My baba talking
I am listening

Listening and listening
