Like an apple in an orchard Dr. SALERIAN POEM IMAGE

Like An Apple In An Orchard

Where life begins
Where it ends
Are you confused my friend
Confused
Like an apple
Like an  apple in an orchard
Living or a nonliving thing

Do forests feel
Do tanks sense
Do bullets sob
Is virus a living
Do memories die

Who is kind who is coward
Who is mean who is daring
An apple once living
May fall prey to masters
Maestros of lies and liars
Aren't we all like apples

Empathy for an apple
May come from a sudden fall
Sudden and earthshaking
You may not mind
To be eaten
Eaten alive
Even thanking the mouth
Thanking a lot
Your new host

Your new home
