why weddings

Why do we have weddings?

To celebrate and to remember.
To celebrate life family and good things good memories. And to remember.
To connect our past to our future.
Today is such a connection; a new beginning for Justin and Meghan and for our family.
This is a magical moment. And I want to thank Gloria for her glorious efforts to make this wedding possible. I also want to thank many Angels among us who made a new  beginning possible, my loyal  beautiful  wife Judi, Ara ,Gregory, Chloe, the man Garo and the woman Marina, Kristin  ,Raul, Pauline , Sy ,Selin, Rehan and Bernard.
I thank Justin and Meghan for giving me the opportunity to share a poem.
It is true that I’ve been writing thousands of poems . publishing poetry books no one reads. And today its my privilege to share a poem I have written for Justin and Meghan.

September 17, 2016

This was not just a wedding of Justin and Meghan.
It was a poetic triumph of life.
A celebration , a joyous day transforming the agony  of Meghan’s dad Donald’s-  premature death –and a few bumpy Salerian years into happy tears.
Please watch the images….. you may feel  what inspired my poem.

               Justin And Meghan

A poem for dreams
Dream like clouds
The bluest sky
Ooh those instant years
Infants  men now
Baby Chloe texting
Remember them ?
Almond and brown eyes
Agopovitch eyes
Joe’s red hair
Gregory-Kristin faces
Never forget Ara- Sy fires
And billowing smoke
Pauline is silent

Years under the bridge
100 years from now
Judig Donald Gloria and I
In the clouds
Watching you
Yes you Justin and Megan
You  sharing a pillow on sandy dunes
Making the moon jealous

Its Thanksgiving
Cheers red wine chatters
You talking soft
Holding hands
Walking slow
Us trembling
Us .. tremors and tears
Clouds ready to cry
Do you hear what I hear
Hear trumpets
Marching sounds
Echoes barely audible
Cresendoing glorious sounds
Fantastic music
From today
From  us
This very wedding chanting

Let’s go Clemson

Let’s go Tigers

Let’s go Redskins

Touchdown Redskins and Tigers
