     “Trust but verify” was what president Ronald Reagan wisely demanded some 30 years ago, an important principle we seem to have overlooked since the assassination of JFK.

   For more than half a century our government has been demanding that we trust our elected representatives and not verify their findings of major man-made disasters.

  We have sadly accepted our governments excuse not to reveal crucial  national security documents yet thanks to brave scholars realize that JFK was taken out by insiders  to promote war in Vietnam.

   The important issue here is not why JFK died but that president Reagan's” trust but verify” principle was dismissed at the expense of public knowledge.

   The government conclusions of 9/11 tragedy and the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre have also violated “trust but verify” principle depriving us of scientific transparent review of the official reports.

    The official 9/11 report has gross flows and misrepresentations. There is for instance absolutely no explanation as to why the third tower, the seventh building

untouched by any airplane, collapsed demolition style at 5 PM on 9/11.

    Logic says if this were controlled demolition advanced planning was necessary and therefore we're not being told the truth. There are other physically impossible events that our government could never explain. Such as how did any intact passport of one of the terrorists survive the superhot fire and the crash?

  “ Trust but verify” was not followed at Sandy Hook. The death certificates were never made public. The crime scene was permanently destroyed by the destruction of the school because of” psychological” reasons. The only death certificate made publicly available – Noah Pozner – seemed to be a forgery. FBI Social Security records indicate no death on December 14, 2012 in Newton Connecticut. Several unofficial reports by Obama administration have confirmed indeed that this was a drill, no one died at Sandy Hook and the purpose was to prevent future  gun violence through public support and legislative means.

  Our collective misfortune is our silence. Our passive stance as our own government has been violating” trust but verify”.

    Where is our free press? Where are New York Times, Washington Post, Donald Trump and other presidential candidates?

  The fact that some  influential people cheat is no big news. The observation that we go along with such deception is not a credit to America.
