 Palm Tree 

Are you my friend ?

Or a plant in sand

A gorgeous palm tree perched on a distant hill

Are we strangers?

Are we forgetting something ?

These are not just questions I ask

For time flows

Sanctuary rests by the palm tree

Centuries gone

Might have been a loving grandma

Or a forgotten never married stay home aunt

 But today palm tree stands

Grandma and aunt tata

Will sing lullabies

When the wind blows

If you wish to hear old songs

Must be on your knees

Shouting

I’m your friend

Thank you for the lullabies
