How Obssesive Traits Make You Tired
Stress is anything that bothers you.
Bad news, rejection , excessive noise , heat ,pain or dirty surroundings
may disturb us.. Unfortunately , some of
us with OCD traits are more easily
bothered by less than a perfect world. Low energy
and fatigue may be an indirect consequence of this OCD trait .
It seems
that two brain dynamics- a strong desire to remain in control and heightened
sensitivity to sensory input- may explain fatigue.
Not taming perfectionistic traits may also lead to stress. And, here comes a painful paradox: A
loved one may be blamed for causing stress because he or she would be viewed as creating
dirt, clutter or a big mess .
Naturally, if a loved one is less than perfect
, stress level would be greater. The bigger the psychological deficits of a
loved one , the greater the stress
endured by a person with OCD traits.
Science says,
OCD traits are controlled by serotonin -dopamine balance . When prefrontal
cortex is laboring hard to tame a hyper active monkey brain, eventually fatigue
comes from a dopamine depleted brain.
To normalize brain serotonin
dopamine balance problem solving , physical fitness, antioxidants and
medications maybe of great help.
