Microbes and Men
To whisper , microbes do not cause gastric ulcers, gastric ulcers produce microbes , in a medical setting
may elicit combustible responses . This is partly because microbes for a long
time - since late 19 century , the times of Louis Pasteur and the discovery of
microbes as causative agents of infections - have been accused of disseminating
death and disease . The bad rumors about microbes got even worse after 2005
when Drs Marshall and Weller won the Nobel prize in medicine or physiology for
proving that microbes cause stomach
ulcers.
Curiously, overlooked and
forgotten were the laws of evolution and a birthday of the first bacteria born
3.5 billion years before Jesus (1). This meant organic matter can produce
microbes.
Is blaming foreign pathogens for all infections logical?
Where do 38 trillion microbes living in human body come from? Are they
all immigrants?
How can we explain bacteria in the Atlantic Ocean on the Atlantis Massif
in gabbroic rock (2) formed from the slow cooling of
magnesium and iron-rich magma and mass deep beneath the Earth's surface.?
How about those bacteria in Andes Mountains in South America.(3)?
Paradigm shifts have always been difficult yet paradigms supported by
Pasteur and the Nobel assembly seem nearly impossible to bend.
Simply
nothing would convince traditional medicine to consider the possibility that ,
pathways other than contamination exist and cause infections. Not the first
bacteria, nor bacteria found on the bottom of the ocean nor buried under ice on
mountain tops, nor bugs that prompted
the massacre of British cattle because of the mad cow disease .
Fortunately, It is easy to prove
that h.pylori are byproducts of degenerative processes:
numerous medical conditions and substances induce ulcers with a shared
pathophysiology of lowering stomach pH
(5,6,7,8,9 ,10)and ulcers had been successfully treated without antibiotics (11,12) before a fictional discovery made the
discoverers Nobel Laureates.
Transformations of matter to bacteria and bacteria to matter illuminate the signature traits of living and nonliving
things and human disorders : Nothing remains the same and changes are
bidirectional. We come from earth, organic matter and bacteria and we will return to our ancestral origins as we
pass away.
This never ending journey , these
infinite repetitions of slow and fast transformation of nonliving things to
living things, and living things to nonliving things without any hint of
cessation , this astonishing phenomenon is
called life or universe.
