Sailing by a dream ,Salerian poem

 Sailing By A Dream

My infatuation with water
A love affair rooted in blood
Thicker than memories
As serene as a solo sailor
Crossing the Atlantic
Not in a rush
Basking in dawn
Smelling Fish
Drinking rain
Conversing with seagulls
And with unborn babies
Floating forward
Occasional odd dolphins
Shadowing first
Later jumping joy
Unlike whales or icebergs
Pompous and distant
Then comes
This beautiful thing
Liberty her name
Hope for freedom
Equality and more
Love at first sight
Mesmerized euphoric
I Worship my new land
Until one day in heaven
Baba asks
By the way on your way here
Did you sail by Staten Island?
Took any photos
What a magnificent dream?
