False Alarm Scare Tactics CDC and Pain Patients
To be a
pain physician in America and not to be nervous about prescribing pain relief
for humans in pain is impossible because of false CDC advertising.
Seeing the
colorful chart claiming prescription pain medications may lead to heroin
addiction have been scaring doctors for years.
Truth is, this is lousy science and false advertising. Only careful reading would help the reader
understand that this study does not involve patients taking prescribed pain
medications. An honest advertisement should have read ” people who illegally
and compulsively use opiates are at high risk for heroin.”
Furthermore
an association is wrongly presented as causation.
And why? Why
to scare pain doctors with false ads paid by our tax dollars at the expense of
millions of Americans with chronic pain.
