Emotions Versus
Reason: Nature Wins
I once drove a red
Mercedes SL engineered to drive 200 miles an hour.
I once built a house on the Outer Banks of
North Carolina that fell into the ocean.
At the age of 18, my wiser and smarter
identical twin suddenly gave an engagement ring to his current wife. They've
been married for almost half a century.
Most of us, most of the time make decisions
ruled by emotions.
When the outcome is good our reason gets the credit when it's bad we blame our
emotions.
When a grieving
lunatic began to yell , scream and broadcast the rumors of my being Dr. Death, reason or evidence-based medicine did
not matter till I was bankrupt ,
delicensed , imprisoned and raped.
Our society reflects a simple reality: nature
always wins.
