Pinocchio Awards ?

Discrimination
against people with mental and physical pain is fathered by public deception.
A few examples :
A: A False Alarm Of An Epidemic : Deaths
From Prescription Pain Medications
1.CDC has been broadcasting a false alarm : an epidemic
of deaths from prescription pain medications.
2.The false epidemic promoted
heightened vigilance by pharmacists and doctors.
3.AMA , APA failed to question
the phantom epidemic.
4. 1, 2, 3 led to man-made shortage of effective treatment.
4. 1, 2, 3 led to man-made shortage of effective treatment.
B: Artificial Barriers To Treat Mental Disorders
Many people with mental disorders
(ADD,ADHD,narcolepsy, refractory depressions) may
benefit from stimulants.
1. Burdensome and unscientific
regulations have limited the access to stimulants.
2. The man made shortage triggered heightened market value and promoted deception .
3.1 and 2 have caused more stress for people with mental
illness at pharmacy counters or in
medical offices.
Emphasizing the negative is un-American.
Pinocchio Awards may offend many. However pain
remains to be the most effective tool to help us evolve. Let us offer a less hostile environment for people with mental illness.
