Why Did McNamara And Bundy

 Not Talk After 1996?

  JFK's top brains Robert McNamara the secretary of defense and Mc George Bundy  the national security advisor did not speak to each other after 1996 when “in retrospect”  became a national bestseller.

    What  offended Bundy  about” In retrospect”?

   McNamara blamed  Bundy indirectly, quietly displaying the obvious treason by  Bundy aids to undermine the president's Vietnam policy of disengagement. He documented the treacheries by Hilsman and Forestall to authorize a COUP Detat in Vietnam and the assassination of Diem brothers in violation of precise presidential orders.

    McNamara portrayed himself as a reluctant participant in the death of the president placing all the blame on Bundy and others who orchestrated the Honolulu meeting the day before the president's assassination.

 McNamara’ s”In retrospect” is a tragic treasure of American history.

We should cry of learning the truth and be thankful that McNamara had the courage to report the facts .  The boot makes it easy to understand why Bundy stopped talking to McNamara after 1996.
