What Does SET Mean For Psychiatry And Psychology?

    SET( Salerian thesis of thoughts) suggests emotions and thoughts are energy products, governed by physical laws of  Planck. and Einstein.

  Pain and emotions are eigenvalues like radiation and electricity which means they are often not easily observable. Furthermore SET suggests thoughts and emotions operate like radiation and light  .  SET also incorporates quorum sensing a recent discovery in microbiology where a minium number of single celsl are necessary for luminescent bacteria to light up.

     What does SET represent for someone with mental illness?

     For instance what does it mean for someone to report auditory hallucinations and reports an imminent threat to personal  safety due to the nature of the voices ?

  This is an electrical alarm suggesting that there is some kind of threat but we must check all the systems first . Let us look at both external threats and also at the possibility of a false electrical alarm .

     What could cause such an alarm.? Where is the problem? If it's in the brain, what region of the brain? Is it amygdala is it somewhere else in the limbic system or is it in prefrontal cortex? Let's visit the electrical circuits.

     This line of questioning will be very different than investigating what a bad mother did to a victim with paranoia and auditory hallucinations. It will necessitate physics , pathophysiology and region specific brain function to solve the puzzle .
