Let's Talk About The Heroine Epidemic: CDC And Evidence-Based Medicine

Let's Talk About The Heroine Epidemic:
CDC And Evidence-Based Medicine

Science says most addictions including heroin addiction are untreated complications of various underlying psychiatric disorders. In the last decade for every person who died from heroin addiction, 10 people died by suicide from psychiatric disorders .
41,000 people died from suicide due to mental disorders in 2015. This represents 12.6 people per hundred thousand population. The same year 3.5 people died from heroin addiction( another complication of untreated psychiatric disorders).
Let us look at  Dr. Freiden, the director of CDC who effectively broadcasted the message :The heroine epidemic is caused by prescription pain medications. Evidence-based medicine says CDC announcement is a mass delusion. There is no scientific evidence to declare such a wrongful public message.

I am  struck by the silence of the academic community. Is it fear? Is it apathy? Is this blind trust of CDC?
