a poem by dr salerian

 Grandpa Said
Alen j Salerian MD

When tears flooding
Just sit back
Surrender
Text your grandpa
Ask
What he would have done
Had he faced
Rejection of this magnitude
A butterfly
Not seeping  sugar
From my spoon
When I had waited all day
For the butterfly to land
On my shoulder
Saying nothing
 No apologies
For my nostalgic self in the afternoon
SImply because she  late
And now it's too late for me to cheer up
And greet the Princess as if
She were not late.
GRANDPA DID RESPOND
I DIED in prison
for a cause
I did not know how to spell
