We can fly around the world in less than 15 hours, we can eliminate measles and rabies but we can't solve suicide , homicide, depression , schizophrenia or major psychosocial challenges. Why?
What  could explain the  disparity between science and social sciences? Eigenvalues: Invisible physical influences.
Physics and mathematics have appreciated the profound importance of eigenvalues but not social sciences where what seems to matter the most  is often determined by human sensory system.
If we cannot feel it or touch it or see it then we often ignore crucial forces until a major catastrophic event. Even then our brilliant ability to deceive could delay progress.
Eigenvalues make it possible to prove deception. Without institutional integrity even eigenvalues are not enough to prevent future accidents. Examples are many. We have not learned much from JFK assassination or 9/11 both inside jobs  provable by eigenvalues .
Psychiatry  relies on DSM (diagnostic and statistical manual ) an awkward tool, clueless about eigenvalues. 10,000 doctors have been imprisoned by criminalization of medicine that exploits this very weakness  of psychiatry and pain medicine;  omission of eigenvalues.

We will be a wiser society when we adopt eigenvalues and institutional integrity as essential. We can start with our next presidential elections by demanding that our next president respect the importance of eigenvalues and not lie on important matters.
