Dr. Thomas Frieden
Director
Centers For Disease Control
Atlanta Georgia

Dear Mr. Frieden

I'm writing to kindly request your resignation as the director of CDC.
I believe your resignation will be a honorable act in view of the atrocities suffered by many people because of the false CDC advertising.
For many years Vital Signs has been publishing erroneous information about epidemics of heroin addiction and overdose deaths from prescription pain medications. Evidence-based medicine suggests these claims are false. Furthermore because of the misguided fears millions of people with chronic pain have been deprived of appropriate treatment.
On April 5 2012 partly because of CDC's false alarm the DC Department of Health canceled my controlled substance registration. As the result of discontinuation of treatment two of my patients suffered sudden premature deaths. Several peer-reviewed journal articles have observed that for some vulnerable patients disruption of treatment could be lethal. It seems that these two fatalities were the collateral damage from CDC's false alarm. In addition Dr. John Mirczak who kindly agreed to provide treatment for 15 former patients of mine taking opiates became a target for DEA and  soon  his office was shut down without due process. A few months later this good Dr. died suddenly from a bleeding ulcer.
Your immediate voluntary resignation will be most appreciated.
Respectfully

Alen J Salerian MD
