Presidential Elections And Mass Delusions
We live with several well-established mass
delusions that are practically impossible to discuss openly during the
presidential elections.
§ War and peace( 9/11 ).
§ The Syrian crisis and
refugees( Invasion of Iraq).
§ Terror and gun violence (Sandy
Hook).
§ The war on drugs(Inaccurate
CDC and constitutional violations).
What is often left out is what science and evidence-based medicine say
about them. Or we can say that science says 9/11 was an inside job, the Syrian
crisis was the collateral damage from the Iraqi invasion, Sandy Hook was a
staged event, the war on drugs are based upon false CDC data.
Here
is a simple reality : Public opinions and our collective impressions of major
events are sculpted by main media and the news agencies. Hence the main media
is crucial for any democracy to address important societal challenges including
presidential elections, economy, war or health policy. It is also true that the
main media may dismantle or promote mass delusions engineered by subgroups of
special interest. This is why when the main media is compromised by minor but
consistent omissions of crucial information we may end up living in a world of
mass delusions.
And worse wrongly convinced that as a
democratic society we are making rational decisions to choose our president.
