Darwin and Einstein Say BAN Boxing
Alen J Salerian MD
March 6, 2015
I think Darwin and Einstein are unhappy that we haven't banned boxing.
This is because they both think prefrontal cortex-the brain region right
beneath forehead -may represent the top ladder of evolution dating back to
nonliving things.
Prefrontal cortex enjoys predominant
governing influence over the collective function of billions of living and
nonliving things in our body.
First .there was nothing except the earth.
Then came a living cell or bacteria.
Then
came the multicellulars, plants ,trees .
Some
billion years later came fish ,crocodiles, dinosaur etc. Nobody's really sure
of the precise timing of all these fantastic events through which the earth
became crowded with many species.
There's a highly believable theory by Darwin
that humans evolved from chimpanzees and chimpanzees evolved from other mammals
and of course all the mammals came after fish and alligators.
After
Darwin Einstein had suggested that energy is matter and matter is energy.
If we trust Darwin and Einstein we should consider the possibility that our
oldest ancestor was earth - not Adam Or Eve- then a tiny bacteria was born.
As living things have evolved so as the
complexity of their nervous system.
In what seems to be an extraordinary
illustration of evolution is that our brain may represent the top ladder of progress of all living things.
Every part of the human nervous system seems
to be an emissary from our infinite past. Billions of cells, over billions of
years maturing to master diverse and unique abilities to function in concert.
We are made of billions of nonliving things,
various chemicals dopamine serotonin endorphin.
There is only one boss . Our prefrontal
cortex.
Our spine is a vestige from our fish days. We
also have our limbic system our rabbit-mammalian origin and the sub cortex of our chimpanzee heritage.
The King is our prefrontal cortex the triumph of evolution.
This
is why I get upset about boxing or a speeding
soccer
ball colliding with any forehead.
This is also why we should listen to Darwin
and Einstein and ban boxing .
