 Good News About Humans  Of Weapons of Mass Destruction?

  An essential dynamic may explain the great majority of mass murders and murder suicides:

   Immense pain  and helpless rage  may generate a combustible mental state. 

   Man-made mass murders aim to terrorize people. They are very different.

   “ Terrorizing the enemy “ is the precise objective of subgroups who engage in authorized or unauthorized operations against civilians.

      They are grotesque and effective.

     ISIS and the recent sickening images of humans on fire or decapitated  heads reveal the signature traits of an authorized terror campaign.

     Unauthorized mass killings of civilians were witnessed in Nagasaki. Some hundred thousand people perished without orders by Pres. Truman when a second nuclear bomb was dropped. Carpet bombing of Vietnamese civilians was another tragic example of unauthorized mass killings to terrorize the enemy . The human losses were astronomical. Neither Nagasaki nor the carpet bombing of civilians were authorized by Americans.

   The good news is mass killings- authorized or unauthorized - could be eradicated by our commitment to democracy and human rights. Nothing else is needed . Not unless OUR LEADERS  decide to deceive.
