   Dear Martin Luther King

   Would you please bless us with your wisdom?

   Sadly, today in America people with brain disorders, addiction and pain are second-class citizens. And their physicians work in a hostile environment reinforced by archaic laws and prejudicial regulations . For instance

…….Methadone clinics that force patients to unnecessary daily attendance.

…….Slave labor of pretrial mental evaluees with $.75 per day in federal facilities

…….Man-made barriers that restrict  easy access to doctors and treatment .

…….Blatant violations of privacy : pharmacies and DEA share private medication data . 

…… Routine doctor profiling  for disciplinary actions by medical boards.

…….Infiltrating doctors offices with wired and unwired undercover policemen.

   Today, three of my colleagues are in prison for practicing medicine . Dr. Paul Kelly, Dr. Linda Cheek and Dr. Paul Volkman.

  And of course ,my sad tale : After 40 years of practice without a trial I was imprisoned .
