A Dialogue With My Fox Friend
Yesterday
I found my Fox friend
At her home by the river
To gain insight
Into minor issues of life such as why
People not returning calls or letters
“Is it time laziness or manners?
My friend smiled
“Surprised by you sir
No answer is
an answer”
“Vow” I exhaled
“How about just a polite no?”
Stillness for moments
Not a leaf moving
The forest asleep
Distant river rush
Before she whispered
“Liability!”
“Liability ? “I thundered
“I shall address this on my blog”
She began laughing
Laughing hard
Convulsing as if in labor
“What's so amusing ? “I asked
“It's okay to be ignorant
Why to broadcast it to the world?”
