An ass and a fox a SALERIAN POEM and a painting

49. An Ass And A Fox

On an empty bus
Going nowhere
Idling engine
A bus passes by
Then a lion
And two donkeys
Arguing about
Hard labor
Not enough food
Bad bosses
Inflation
Rude young asses
Dogs barking too much

“Hey driver
Can we go already”
“Yes sir “the driver says
“You're the boss
Tell me where to go”
“I’d love to see the White House
Or Lincoln Memorial”
“Give me a bigger challenge “the driver says
“Take me to Heaven” I say
“The real one or the one man made?”
“You decide”
“The real one is easy
All I have to do is to kill you
The one here
Perhaps difficult
You need a passport
And  you have none
 For you're an ass

And this is a fox jungle”
