Red Pink Waves DR SALERIAN POEM AND PAINTING

Red Pink Waves

This man from Buyukada
Marching on shoreline
A pebble from nowhere
Flying by
The march will continue
More pebbles fly
Small medium large rocks
Showering from sky
The man altering  course
Walking on sand and water
Walking and sinking
Rescued by three giant sea turtles
The March went on
“Be quiet to be safe” the turtles said
“I've been silent “the man said
CIrcling nervous sharks
Fast and frenzied
Soon turtles gone red pink waves
 Seagulls black-and-white  lifting
Shouting “be quiet not a word”
“ I have been quiet “the man said
Delirious sharks texting
“Will eat you your noise disturbs nature”
Thanks to seagulls safely home
Mom wife sister and kids shouting
“The news said you were loud
A public menace
Beheading fish
Running naked kicking kids
Thanks to Coast Guard you made it
Next time please
Watch how you walk
Your impact on environment
We’ve been distraught almost dead
Think of us don't be selfish”
And the man said
“I will honor your request”

Seagulls clapping in the air
