For Nick and Cliff
I am a happy pigeon
This Thanksgiving
I'm thankful
For my walks
For my friends
For my brothers and sisters
And my nieces
And Nick of course
Nick gave me hope
My brother shelter
My friends food
After I lost my wings
Others helped too
Helping me teach
Poetry of flying
Sadly I understand
Silence of mama and baba
My family grieving
Grieving black
For my black wings
Thanks to my Lord
This Thanksgiving
Mama baba family friends
Will sit together
At Cliff's farm
Embrace each other
